France banned the use of photoshop
From October in France, all photos in magazines and advertising campaigns processed in Photoshop will have to have a mandatory retoucheé mark (“retouched”). In this way, the French Ministry of Health, headed by Marisol Touraine, decided to fight the eating disorders caused by the pursuit of the ideal seen in the beautiful picture (according to disappointing statistics, 40 thousand French under 30 suffer from anorexia, another 50 thousand admit yourself after seeing the magazines depressed and insecure). So those who have forgotten to put a signature on the “perfect” picture will now face a fine of 37,500 euros.
Thus, France became the first country where the topic of photoshopped pictures became interested at the legislative level. Meanwhile, more and more stars are trying to draw attention to the problem of retouching. Last month, Emily Ratakovski accused Madame Figaro of photoshop. Against retouching images setting unrealistic standards of beautySarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, Dana Dunam, Kate Winslet, Lady Gaga and Carrie Washington (the latter gets the most from retouching - her skin editors "lighten up" at least a few tones).
