Inside 10 Socialite’s Closets: Lauren Santo Domingo, Olivia Palermo, Aerin Lauder, More
How many times have you said to yourself—I wish I had more room in my closet! It is a common problem for just about everyone, except for, it seems, the rich, fabulous, and famous. Can you really blame them for spending big money on really fabulous closets? We know we would do the same thing if we could (and you have to put all of those Marchesa and Oscar de la Renta gowns somewhere).
So, without further ado, click through the slideshow above for a look at 10 lavish closets—and just try and guess who built a custom cabinet just to store their Hermès Birkin bags!
Suzanne Rogers:This Toronto-based philanthropist and fashion enthusiast showed off her drool inducing closet to The Coveteur. The closet is chock full of everything from Jil Sander to custom McQueen, and is color coded to boot.
Another view of Roger's closet. Her shoe collection includes everything from Roger Vivier to Yves Saint Laurent.
Tamara Ecclestone:The daughter of billionaire Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone, Ecclestone opened up her closet toIn StyleUK magazine last year. Her multi-room closet in her London home includes 120 pairs of Christian Louboutin heels and a cabinet especially designed for her Hermès Birkin bags. After the shoot, Ecclestone moved to an even bigger house, with an even bigger closet, if you can imagine. We can't wait for that photo shoot.
Julia Restoin Roitfeld:This closet belongs to the daughter of one of fashion's biggest stars, Carine Roitfeld, the former editor of FrenchVogueand the current Global Fashion Director ofHarper's Bazaar. Roitfeld opened up her home (including her closet) to The Selby. Just like her mother, Roitfeld clearly loves her shoes.
Aerin Lauder:It is no surprise that Aerin Lauder, the grand-daughter of Estée Lauder, and now the founder and creative director of her own namesake lifestyle brand AERIN, has one of the most glamorous and pristine closets we have ever seen. Lauder referred to this room as her "dressing room" when she opened up her .
Nicky Hilton:It is no surprise that this Hilton hotel heir and one of the original socialite "it" girls has one of the best closets around. The Coveteur captured what could only be described as shoe heaven.
Tinsley Mortimer:Once declared the top NYC socialite by the now defunt blog Socialite Rank, got access to Mortimer's closet. As expected, lots of color, andlotsof cocktail frocks.
Genevieve Jones:This New York City "it" girl and jewelry designer opened up her Soho loft (and closet) to The Coveteur. We are not only digging her collection of Hermès and Salvatore Ferragamo, but also her seriously cute shoe storage bags.
Olivia Palermo: What a romantic space to house your wardrobe! Social fixture and fashion plate Palermo showed off her closet to and told them that she was inspired by Mariah Carey's jaw-dropping closet when creating hers.
Lisa Vanderpump: This star of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsrecently moved into a new home, citing downsizing as the reason for the switch. Based on these photos of her closet, she didn't downsizethatmuch.
