5 Minute DIY: Felt Fortune Cookie Valentines
These Adorable Fortune Cookies are Filled With Tiny Kittens
Between these super-cute fried eggs and Hong Kong's Hello Kitty-themed restaurant, one thing is clear: Cats and food are a match made in heaven. (Even though, as our feline friend Ray proves, the fur balls don't totally understand our fascination with kale or pour-over coffee among felines.) But then these crazy kitty-filled fortune cookies came along and topped the adorable charts.
Aptly called Dagashi Nyanko Kaurenbo (which translates to "Hide-and-Seek Kitty Cookies"), these goodies were developed by , a Japanese company specializing in all things kitten. Bite into one of these fortune cookies—which are made ofsenbeirice crackers—and you'll find a cute and tiny candy cat waiting to greet you. Which is so much better than a random paper fortune.
Unfortunately, you won't find them anywhere in the states. Bundles of the treats, which includes just two fortune cookies and a pack of cylindrical karinto sweets (which look like carrot slices if you ask us), go for and are only available at select online retailers. Of course, if that seems a little steep, you might be better off sticking with conventional fortune cookies.
